Fascinating the stories of the old are
Of gods and goddesses, their prowess and grandeur
Of monsters and creatures and their unlikely forms
Which make me desire to live in their magical world.
How does it feel like to live in their time? I ask.
To fight with creatures and kill them in one strike
To be rewarded with power that no man can ever have
To be hailed and enthroned in the pedestal of gods.
Then I realize that none these I could ever have
Even the subtlest feature of Adonis face, Oh God please help me out!
And that I will never see monsters that will make me mad
Nor see gods sending mystical aids as I travel alone in the wilderness.
But this doesn’t mean my life is less than a god
For extraordinary things can happen in the most ordinary life
Monsters and gods I see wearing the same face
And that I can be either a hero or a villain in my own mythical space.
