The Riddlers' Daughter (AKA the reason why when I comment I speak in riddles and rhymes)

Alyssa Klark

I keep writing in riddles, keep writing in rhymes and I start to wonder do you think this is sublime? Let me tell you my story I tell in the comments. The stories I tell, when you say something important.

oh my oh my

what a story have I

a man receives hell

trades eye for an eye

but you see there's a problem

with your reasoning here

if you solve my riddle

I may tell your lend'd ear

So riddle me this:

A woman did suffer

from an illness so sweet

this illness called love

it's her downfall you see

she first seemed to feel it

when a killing took place

a policeman came along

investigated the face

a few more weeks later another occurred

this time the woman's' roommate

though so obscure

she had killed her roommate

but pray tell me... why?

For once you do

I'll tell you quite spry

It's quite simple really

a child could solve

I hope that you find it

so I may tell your reasoning flaw

I know it seems difficult

I thought so too

though giving up

was the wrong thing to do

Just take a moment

to remember just why

the womans love sparked

on the murders first night

She loved the policeman

don't qualm it's true

So she killed her roommate

to lure him back soon

She knew if her friend died

it was all for the cause

of seeing a man

who didn't know all her flaws

I guess I will tell

your reasoning flaw

though you did not solve my riddle

but gave it your all

Your flaw just happened

to be somewhat imagined

Most people in Hell

though you say do not tell

will tell anyways

oh isn't that swell?

They tell so that you

May be in hell too

I know this from fact

Because I'll be there soon

The depths of hell

though bitterly sweet

pressure us gems

into something unique

Sweet and kind hmm

Isn't that neat

I'm a bit undefined

my dear friend, incomplete

You say that you'd hold

a hand on the edge

but don't you know friend?

chivalry's dead

You try to defend

It's adorable true

but you can't defend a monster

that's deep inside you

My riddles seem queer

my thought process off

but dear my mind is

what I hold aloft

Darkness seeks

and shadows lie

through the summer

every night

but if you listen

to what was once a love song

you will find yourself singing along

This song of sadness

is that a tear?

trust me my dear

you cannot dwell here

Hell is a place

for those long forgotten

and your bittersweet words

are too much like cotton

You say that you mustn't

allow such a thought

but I am the monster you merely forgot

The thing that has scorned you

from childhood age

the thing that begged you

Just come out and play!

I know that these words

will make you falter

but now see why I'm called
