You considered yourself to be normal. God knows you weren’t. Black hair and dark brown eyes. Always wearing jeans and t-shirts. Sometimes you would put on your olive jacket to spice it up. You would try to make jokes, or you would just stay quiet. Because you were scared. Scared of everyone. Besides me. With me, you were a whole new person.
Always laughing and talking about things that you were fascinated about. Always telling me how you loved to think that Saturn and Jupiter were married, and that Neptune and Uranus were secretly in love. You found life in everything, except yourself.. You remember the day you told me that you loved caterpillars?
Not because they changed into butterflies or moths, but because they changed not to become beautiful, but to be able to reproduce. They changed for themselves and not for people. You saw yourself as normal because you wanted to blend in. But to me you were a moth who only wanted to reach the moon without anyone seeing you.
Weirdly enough, I would always see you cause you were the brightest of them all.
