Life can be colourful, but thoughts and feelings not so much at times.

Life Filled with Colour

I wake up.

I wake up. My golden hair is spilt across the pillow, Whilst the sun lets itself in through my window, it fills the room with its happy warmth, kissing all it touches.

I wake up. My golden hair is spilt across the pillow, Whilst the sun lets itself in through my window, it fills the room with its happy warmth, kissing all it touches. But, my thoughts stay black and white.

My red fluffy slippers greet my feet like old friends and my blue dressing gown feels like a comforting hug, this belt has its arms wrapped around my waist, wishing to never let me go.

My red fluffy slippers greet my feet like old friends, and my blue dressing gown feels like a comforting hug, this belt has its arms wrapped around my waist, wishing to never let me go. But, my heart feels void of light.

My cup is filled with swirls as brown dances with white as I add milk into my aromatic cup of hot Joe, every sip awakens my senses and opens my eyes. I breathe as I take everything in.

The shower rains droplets of hot soothing water onto skin to wash away everything, along with white foamy suds. Rejuvenating my body and awakening my thoughts with the hope of a fresh new day.

I get dressed, I am ready for a day at work. White tunic and red epaulettes, a uniform I wear with dignity, I plough on tirelessly helping people throughout the day, I have done so much and I feel accomplished.

Now my head lays upon my pillow once again. Beyond the window, the moon shines low; The dark night sky is filled with beautiful stars, but, I am too tired to enjoy the view. My eyelids are heavy, I cannot fight.

Hello, Sleep. My dear friend. Now I dream of a life filled with colour.
