I watched the worlds pass by as I sat next to the person who saved me. I'm afraid to look up at him, because I could feel him looking at me.
When I first met him he was chasing me calling out to me
" 'm not gonna hurt ya'! Wait! "
But I new better than that so I continued running because this had happened many times before, someone realized that I lived on the streets,
they picked me up and took me home and I had been hopeful that maybe I would have a home, but soon they got tired of me and threw me out.
This time I would be quite, I would help around, then maybe I wouldn't be left behind again but this time I wasn't getting my hopes up.
When we reached a stop he stood up but said nothing, so I did the same. We didn't walk for very long before we got to a place with music pouring out of it and lights everywhere.
It was Dance Central. I had seen this place before, but I was beginning to wondered why he had brought me here.
Without thinking about it I looked up at him and saw he had bright green eyes almost the same shade of green as the strip of green in his black hair.
He was only a little taller than me and he seemed about the same age as me.
"What's yer name? "
Before I could ask him why he had brought me here he pointed up at a door.
" That's wher' I live. And now ya live here too. "
Glitch grabbed my hand and walked me to the door. He stopped in front of the door and put his hand on the doorknob but didn't open it.
I looked up at him then heard a click and the door swung open.
He brought me inside and gave me a small tour of his house. It was small and only had one bedroom.
" I'll getta bunk bed s' we 'an 'oth sleep inna bed. "
I couldn't get any words to come out only that small sound.
" Ya? "
When I looked up at him I could see that he truly wanted to help, but I didn't know why. Why would anyone want to help a street rat? I wasn't rich and my family had thrown me out, so why?
" Why did ya' bring me here? "
" I brought ya' here because ya' were 'lone on tha street. And you were good at dancing. "
That's right I had forgotten about that, I had to dance to earn money. That was how I paid for food.
I had too eat so I spend all my money on food, but I never got more than 5 dollars at a time, but I was okay with that, because I had food and I wasn't starving.
Glitch sat me down on the couch and then sat next to me.
" Um... "
" Ya? "
" How old 'er ya' "
" 14 "
He's the same age I am.
" You 'er too 'ight"
Glitch didn't say anything so neither did I. I didn't want to make a mistake and be thrown out again.
Glitch stood up, and walked over to me. I looked up right as he bent over. He wrapped his arms around my waist and flung me over his shoulder.
He walked with me on his shoulder to his room and put me on his bed.
" Get some sleep. I'll be sleeping in the living room. You can sleep in here on my bed until I get a bunk bed."
He left the room and closed the door.
I felt bad for taking his bed, but this was the most wonderful feeling I had ever felt it was warm but I didn't know what it was. But I liked it.
