A poem about not deserving forgiveness

Don't Forgive Me

It's dark here, and I dare not breathe in the scent

of decay and squalor, all the sins I gave up for lent

I'm spent

I didn't mean to slice you so deep

I'm a creep

And maybe it doesn't matter if I wail and weep

My inaction is still not a subtraction

From deeds already done

I can't unweave this blanket, I deserve to be shunned

You won't forgive me, well I won't either

You don't love me now, well me neither
