Our father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
A faulty society has led us to believe
In your weird and ridiculous fame.
The majority twist and misuse an old book
To release all their pent-up aggression.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
In earth, as it is in heaven.
You love us all perfectly,
We are trained to believe,
Yet people die every damn day,
We aren't granted reprieve.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses too.
We're greedy, ungrateful, and do what we want
In the hope that you'll hide all from view.
There's a force that's His own
With no room to discuss,
We commit horror without thought,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
Some believe it all fully and say they are whole,
As we use their one god to make fear our new nation.
Some cower from fear in their bubble of faith,
So please lead us not into temptation.
We believe in some rules, a really old book,
We believe in a ghost up above.
We believe in some magic that cannot be proven,
But deliver us from evil, we believe in the dove.
For thine is the kingdom of fear and of hate,
The power and the glory of the wretched human race.
For ever and ever, Amen, they all say
In response to an idol who's so far away.
