oh how I wish it weren't true.

perfume.

your skin

was the softest glass

I've ever let

my fingers lay on

you felt heavy

in my hands

and even heavier

in my heart

you were so

transparent

I thought I saw

all of you

I saw every colour

every hue

gold, green and you

promised

that's all there was

to see

you smelt divine

as if suddenly

we became flowers

in a botanical garden

I desired you

your kisses

in the forgotten land of

where my ears

meet my neck

I wanted your lips

to graze my wrists

so I let you

explore me

in my forgotten lands

but oh darling

I never knew

that poison

could smell exactly

like perfume
