@queen_n If you were able to have a superpower, what would it be and why? I think I’d choose mind reading: I’ve always asked myself what it’s like in someone else’s mind, what they honestly think about me and I think knowing that would be pretty cool.
Besides, I know I can be a bit awkward sometimes with people because I don’t know what to say or how to act to make them feel better: mind reading could help me with that too. So, it would also be a great way to know what I should to say to make someone feel more at ease, to support people, to help them out, as well as for more ’egoistical’ reasons ;)
@queen_n What’s the best country you have been to? I’ve never been in another country, but I’ve traveled locally (I live in Italy) a lot. I visited Naples and some other important cities nearby, as well as many cities and towns in Sicily.
If I could visit a country, I’d most likely pick England (would love to visit London), Germany (love the culture and I can speak the language fairly well), Sweden and Norway. I would also love to visit Amsterdam and Paris, if given the chance to.
@clearandsimple If you could be in two places at once, what place would you be at? I’ve always found that a difficult question to answer: in the end everyone I care about and who makes me happy is already by me, my family, so my heart already is where it wants to be.
Though if I had to pick one place right now, I’d choose to go back to the city where one of my cousins lives. He was very dear to me and I loved with all my heart, but things changed and because of some personal reasons, we didn’t keep in touch at all. I truly miss him and would love to get the chance to talk to him again.
@clearandsimple If you could be any book character, who would you be? I think I’d be Rowling’s Hermione Granger: I’ve always been the witty, clever, even sassy/sarcastic type of person and books and learning, as well as writing, are my only true love (no wonder my Hogwarts House
is Ravenclaw). Besides, Hermione is courageous and a loyal friend and I always stand up, I’m always there for the ones I love as well, so I like to think those adjectives match to my personality as well. I’m not able to ignore people in need and not lend them a hand to people, whether they are friends or not.
@clearandsimple How many books are you currently reading? I’m the read-one-book-at-time type of reader: I always feel the necessity of concentrating on the events, characters, story I’m busy reading. I don’t think I would be able to do that and to enjoy every moment of a story
if I focus on multiple ones at once. Ever since I seriously picked up the passion and habit of reading, (as a child, with Harry Potter), I’ve always done so. Right now I’m reading Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, but before this one I read ‘Black’ (The Circle Series). In fact, browsing online, I had found a Ravenclaw must-reads list, so I got to know about it.
During quarantine, I’ve also read Sherlock Holmes ‘A Study in Scarlet’ (planning to buy the others), ‘The Last Wish’ (THE WITCHER) and ‘The Martian’ by Andy Weir. I also plan on rereading all the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter books, as well as buying some other Jane Austen’s novels.
@clearandsimple And what’s your favorite board game to play? (I need suggestions c:) I totally get you. This is a weird, confusing, boring period for all of us. Personally, during quarantine, my dad finally taught me chess and I LOVED it.
Soon, I could beat him, my sister and my computer AI, if that counts. Seriously though, I’m still a total noob and I truly admire people who are able to play chess professionally or spend time seriously focusing on the game, learning new strategies and improving. Anyway, I don’t really play board games as when I’m not busy studying, I spend most of
my time playing my violin (trying to improve my technique), writing down poems and stories or personal feelings in my journal or coming up with ideas/editing the next articles I plan on publishing on We Heart It (my quarantine reading list should be published around next weekend). All of this is really time consuming and keeps me productive all day.
Anyway, I’ve just realized most probably none of you knows about my We Heart It, as it’s not even been a month since I joined the platform, so let me know in the comments if you would like me to tell you more about that. I’d be really happy to share it with you guys!
Last thing last, my first and upcoming short story/poem collection on Commaful: it will be called ‘Paper Souls’. I started developing this idea a long time ago, but I could never write it down; there was and has always been something that holds me back and prevents me from keeping on writing it. But I decided it’s time I push myself and give it my best; only
by truly giving it my best and improving, I can become a better writer and share meaningfulstories with all of you. I will not say much about it (I prefer surprises), but the title reveals it all. ‘Paper Souls’: I plan on writing about things, people, creatures that are born and live through paper, through our thoughts and the ink that writes them down.
It will be a low-fantasy story collection, though I’ll be honest, I don’t have a fixed plan about what to write precisely; I’ve never liked having to feel limited, caged, when writing. Because writing is the way I can wear wings and fly and for once, not having to be afraid of heights (in real life, I usually am).
But plot and storyline are crystal clear in my mind, so you need not worry! It won’t be a collection that makes no sense!
What’s sure is that my writing will be based on things and people and stories that inspire me day by day, a sort of personal ‘memoir’, though with fantasy elements, and see how and where this goes. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy. I’d love to hear from all of you!
First part will be published tomorrow, at 09.30 pm UK time (I’m Italian, so this could be more or less accurate). The latest I can be is 10.30/11 pm (I usually reread things before posting them and sometimes, I can become pretty much a heavy editor). Looking forward to hearing from all of you there!
Hope you enjoyed reading this. If you have any other questions (whether about me or the story), let me know in the comments. I’ll be happy to give you an answer there! Thanks for reading and for supporting!
