Im not sure where you met me last night, but I know that last night, I met you in a meadow.
Wide, wild and wonderful.
We met when the sun was thinking of closing its eyes, and so, was kissing the earth goodnight and we watched them embrace.
It inspired us to watch them love for just moment and witness the colors of their passion paint the sky.
He softly wiped her pigment from her lips where they met at his horizon and slid it with fluid grace, like ink into water, onto the sky between them.
And we stood there and watched in awe.
As the sky transformed and it hugged all of the shades and lights of mauve and rose and peach and midnight, we were struck by the miracle and we lived a moment of their poetry.
A moment that takes a second to exist but a million stopped heart beats to experience and helps us to understand the reason time stops for lovers who emerse in one another.
We were poured on by their romance and brought lip to lip.
We hovered there, breathing oxygen for one another. Borrowing strength from each other to survive the fall we both knew was about to happen right beneath our hearts. We embraced...
You took the colors from the sky, with your hand, onto your finger tips and swept it threw my hair with maestro strokes of magic and you painted me into the image of beauty.
Into the image of what you want me to be for you... I stood like a canvas and let you use the clouds to make me all that your heart and mind have finally agreed is right for you.
I let you glide and create. I let you touch all of the surfaces that need improvement in order to be perfect for you.
And when you were done, which felt like as long as now mixed with forever, we both, covered in a smile that we seemingly wore in combination, became light in each other's eyes...
as we observed and took in that you coated me over, free to make me into anything in this world,
and I stood there: myself.
Unchanged, with nothing more but the most beautiful glow added to the air around me and to all things I could see.
Given the opportunity to add beauty to me, to make me more, you added beauty only to my sight...
you hold my cheek, steel my glance, and your soul tells me you'd hoped that by adding beauty around me, I'd smile deeper and you'd be filled with joy,
as happy is the only "more of me" you need to be brought closer to complete.
We met in a meadow in my dream last night and we made love in the tall grass while we listened to the sun and the earth say their ritualistic farewells in preparation for another night
of moments lived by the light of the moon and by the hearts of lovers, both new and renewed.
