This iconic question has been the start of conversations for over a hundred years.
No matter which part of the world are you from, this question manages to make its spot there as well.
But why do we ask this question?
Isn't it often to just figure out whether the person in front of us is doing ok?
But then comes the question, why don't people just ask are you ok?
Well, to begin with many a times when we ask a person tis question it is to see whether they are happy or not
Whether they are satisfied in life or not
And more literally whether they are physically fit?
But then are we ever completely ok or fine?
Isn't being completely ok or fine much like achieving the zenith of success
A peak that keeps getting further as you get closer to it?
Isn't it true that we will never be completely fine, but just better then what how we were in the dark days?
Better then what we were in the days that left us both emotionally and physically drained?
And when we check on a person, don't we just want to see whether they have gotten past that point in life?
Then shouldn't the question we ask be...
"Are you better?"
