There was a crash, an impact.
And a loud, thunderous screech,
followed by a symphony of sirens.
And a scream.
I think it was mine.
My ears are ringing.
It was so loud a few moments ago, but there's a deafening silence in the air now.
It's so quiet here.
wherever I am.
There's fog everywhere. I've never seen fog this thick before; so opaque it looks like clouds.
Am I dreaming now, or was I dreaming before?
The car crash felt so real.
It must have been real.
A sudden swerve, the piercing squeal of the breaks, the stench of burning rubber, the impact...
But it can't have been real.
Or I'd be dead now...
"Hello and welcome to the afterlife."
