A Question of Faith

by kateurquhart

I don't really know what I believe these days.

It used to be the Bible.

I used to know that Jesus lived and died,

and Moses lead the people out of Egypt,

and Mary was a Virgin.

But now I'm not so sure.

I think there's a God.

I mean,

the thought that we're hurling through space at however many million miles per hour without someone,

looking after us...

That we're alone in the universe,

and we don't have any guidance or higher plan...

The thought of that is too scary to face.

But is a fear of not having faith

@bernardtwindwil It's such a relief to know I'm not the only person who has these doubts and questions!

These are deep questions that I think everyone has whether they are a fundamentalist or atheist. I think your exploration was done with great honesty. Great job!!!
