I fear that one day, I'll lose it all.

Fear

by KarishmaM

My greatest fear in life is not my own death,

but a persons who is close to me.

I fear that one day,

we’re going to be eating a 2 o'clock brunch,

and then at 4.30 I’m going to receive a call,

mentioning a loss in my life that could never be replaced.

My greatest fear in life is not my own death,

but a persons who is closest to me.

That I will never be able to experience another brunch,

and remake those times but will have to accept the fact that

there is no rescheduling but only,

remembering the forgotten memories.

@bernardtwindwil I truly appreciate your comment and I'm grateful that I was able to capture those emotions for such a topic as those phone calls aren't a frequent occurrence for me. However I am deeply sorry to hear that they may be for you. Take care and Much Love xx :))

I have heard it said that mankind's greatest tragedy is to outlive your children. At my age these calls are weekly occurrence. You were able through your words to put that anxiety and crushing grief on paper. Great poem!!!

I understand how you have the fear of losing somebody special and I think it's healthy somehow, like that way you won't stop caring for the person. Besides that, nicely written. Liked it! :)
