Warning, this poem does talk about some sensitive subjects. If you are easily triggered by eating disorders, please do not read. Thank you.

Starving

I hate the grumbling ache in my stomach.

It continuously begs to be filled with calories.

But why should I reward it if all it's ever given me was self hatred.

The longer the deprivation

The longer the deprivation the thinner I become.

Bone begins to poke through the thin layer of skin and clothing.

The beautiful shape of the human skeleton

The beautiful shape of the human skeleton is now visible to the naked eye.

No longer hidden beneath cellulite.
