A life where you look through a green-tinted window.

Green-Tinted Window

A bird's chirping wakes me up from a calm and brilliant dream

A bird's chirping wakes me up from a calm and brilliant dream I stare up into the distant sky, as far as the eye can see

The bird flies away, leaving me

The bird flies away, leaving me All alone with a nice cup of coffee

I look out once more

Out of my green-tinted window

Hours later, after breakfast, after lunch, after reading a brand new book

Hours later, after breakfast, after lunch, after reading a brand new book I feel a lingering hunch, and look out into the neighbourhood

There were two people standing there, talking

There were two people standing there, talking Maybe yelling, maybe arguing, I have no clue

Too blurry to see, but I wouldn't want to open the door

I'd rather just look out, through this green-tinted window

A rock is thrown towards me, shattering the glass my way

A rock is thrown towards me, shattering the glass my way I'm knocked back onto the floor, it sends me into a daze

The cold winds blow, the sun emits its burning ray

The cold winds blow, the sun emits its burning ray Far off yelling is all I can hear, "It must've been them both!"

"How can some people be so low?"

I say, as I look at my now broken window
