Life Plays A Twisted Game

Sitting down with a half-empty bottle. A baby in her arms. She says I don't know how we got here, But life's lost all its charm. She's been looking for an excuse For half her crumbling life.

But now her thoughts have sunken in. She's eyeing the kitchen knife

She said that she'd continue on if just to love her son. A blurry picture of a boy whose life had just begun. She holds him just a little closer and tips the bottle up.

She knows the time is drawing near to empty out her cup

Life's got a sick sense of humor it loves to mess around. When the ones who need a pick me up just keep getting beat down. The world plays a twisted game deciding who gets what.

And the ones who get the short end are judged for their inherited rut. Yes some people make it through they win the twisted game. But to the many others, the cycle stays the same

Oh life plays a twisted game

She picks her self up slowly bottle still in hand. She packs the baby in his car seat she's got a noble plan. She grabs her keys and wallet. Walks to her beat-up car.

Careful not to tip over and not to leave a scar. Baby in the backseat mother in the front. Another swig from her bottle . Turn the keys so her son won't bear the brunt.

She's going to the station. Her thoughts are in the air. She hopes that when he's older. He'll know that she really cared

Her mind is racing fast but slower than her car. She hears her angel sleeping and she starts to fall apart. The tears are flowing freely and dampen her long hair.

She comes up to a corner not sure when she got there. She turns the wheel quite sharply and heard an angry horn. She's almost to the station and after she can mourn.

Finishing her bottle she sees a blaring light. There's a horrible screeching and she turns with all her might. Her baby began crying then suddenly cut short.

Her life is in slow-motion she can hear her face contort. She sees the ground stop flying but not for very long. She knows with pain her little boy is already gone.

As her head snaps backward she sees the blurry face. Of her little boy whose future she drunkenly erased
