It’s a cruel joke to them but torture for her

Their Cruel Joke

She goes home, once again tears streaming down her face, questioning if she really has a purpose in this place.

Their words hurt her, each cut becoming deeper. Due to the never-ending bleeding, she was beginning to feel weaker.

Scared to go to school or even move the wrong way. She tried not to draw attention to herself or there would be a price to pay.

Plugging her ears, and closing her eyes she tried to shut their voices out, But the constant tearing down was starting to cause doubt.

At night she prays for peace, that the torture will soon end. Hoping that with the peace came someone she could call a friend.

She goes home, once again tears streaming down her face, questioning if she really has a purpose in this place.
