There is a silence that looms over the hustle Only the sound of crackling in the distance

Headed Home

There is a silence that looms over the hustle

Only the sound of crackling in the distance

A peaceful feeling that helps illuminates a small spot

It may be small, but it is more than enough

Sailing wide and far off pure bliss

But life won’t let that happen

Once I reached absolute gratification

A breeze flies right in and extinguishes the passion

There is no way out

Crying, praying for a glimmer of hope

With each minute it seems harder to breathe

Screaming, yelling to get by

Longing for the days of old

Just when it’s time to give up

Just when I’m told to let go

Just when I can’t take it anymore

I am awaken by a single candlelight

The dark void grows lighter and lighter each second

I hear a whisper in my ear

To let me know the bad days are behind

I am headed home
