Are You Getting the Whole Story?

by johnchang

Three blind men came across an elephant

The first came upon its massive side

"Ah, this is a wall of great structure!"

The next man felt its massive leg..

"Ah, no! You're wrong - these trees are part of a forest!"

The third man found the trunk..

"No, you're both wrong! It's a giant snake that will eat us!

Too often we jump to conclusions..

..without knowing enough of the story!

If we're not careful, we can be way off track!

@johnchang I love the way you present them and your choice of graphics. One great thing about mining the classics is that everything you pick up is a gold nugget. I agree concerning the classics being unknown.

Thanks! @bernardtwindwil - continuing to mine the classics & realizing how there's probably a whole generation that doesn't know these!

@sydney - the problem today is that there's false belief that just because it's a "credible source" on the internet that something is true. So, there are more & more cases where a mistake ends up being "true," because the false information was spread widely faster.
