I don't put my faith in any god or godess. Not any spirit, saint or celebrety. What I truely believe in is people. All of them. The ones that I love, the ones around me that I pass by everyday but don't know, and everyone else. Even you.
I believe we are, as a species, the most advanced and lucky bastards there is (as far as my fairly powerful brain can understand). We have the gift of conscious informed decision making.
We can chose our words and actions having a general notion of what the consequences will be.
I believe we can choose to be kind, loving, respectful, decent to others. More than that, I know we can change a lot of things wrong in the world by making small changes to ourselves.
When we die, the kids that will come after us will have to deal with the consequences of the shit we leave behind, so we should leave them with some good shit. I know I'm not enjoying the global warming shit the past generations left us, making us sweat as if we were the wicked witch of the west.
What I'm trying to say is I believe in us, human kind. I believe we are the heros (and the vilains) of our stories and I believe we can change and evolve to something greater...
What I'm trying to say is I believe in us, human kind. I believe we are the heros (and the vilains) of our stories and I believe we can change and evolve to something greater... Better.
And realising this (which happened gradualy, certainely not like an Eureka moment) was one of the most life-changing events that I've ever lived.
