Morning light leaks through the blinds
to heavy blankets, tired eyes,
sleepy voices, happy hearts,
tangled bodies, legs and arms.
The frosty air rapps at the glass,
but we stay warm and tightly wrapped
while kissing cheeks and frozen noses,
to music that the wind composes,
little noises muttered softly,
smells of breakfast foods and coffee,
hushed sounds you return to me
while biting lips and kissing teeth,
fingers intertwined with fingers,
smiling, laughing, sighs and whispers,
cold shudders, nervous shudders,
chapped lips, hips to hips, love and bliss.
