The sad truth

A Cruel World

She’s riding the bus with no destination, Her last bag just injected, Eyes rolling in the back of her head, Thinking she is better off dead.

I sit and observe this world wondering why? When did those smiles fade into that last high?

The little boy begs for some change, Craving food, love, and hope from a kind soul.

There’s a homeless man who’s drowning in the rain, When did humanity become so vein?

That anxious pit bull shaking to the core, Deathly afraid of people and abuse anymore.

Why? Please help me understand, there is so much cruelty in the world we stand. I’m wishful for some sight of kindness in this land.

I crave for better days... When animals are no longer abused, People no longer need to use, Everyone has a roof over there head, Those babies bellies are always fed.
