Behold an incandescent light
In a world of bewildering darkness
Still we wade through bleakness
There in the human foibles there is weakness
With the armour yet a jaded spirit
Hallowed serenades echo the empiric
The fables and parables put forth by the cleric
Each one having meaning and therefore merit
While we all search for peace and forget it.
When will these sacred drops of truth be gleaned?
It cannot be that all these thoughts and beliefs are a product of a dream
It cannot be the different moons the earth has seen
And all that humans that have ever been
Did not see the everlasting floret of faith
Be it in thyself or a higher power that never strafes
There is nothing to say to a closed mind that's sour that still wraiths.
Where but in the covenant of love they feel out of place.
The reverberations of time and testament.
Seem to me lament.
That I should and can wonder.
And then as lightning is to thunder.
The truth shalt be revealed.
