Petals cascade each petal a memory
Seeking to see these perennials flower in the centenary
Though the petals fall the plant sustains
As the roots remain
Possession never a forte
Of someone whom truly loves
To the dancing petals in the wind
As the memories flicker like the petals as if with wings.
The wings that could raise any broken heart
The scent that returns two lovers torn apart
The blossom that resides
Love that against all defies
As the flower rises to the sun light
Shivers in the cold night
The warmth of embrace in the stem
Lulls images of love in one's rem
So when we dream of the flower that has the scent of desire
We know we must retire a sense of possession
And let appreciation have its succession.
As rising in the rouge we relish the fragility of the flower
Dancing in the wind.
