The waves gently blanket the shore
Paving gentle footsteps on the floor
Calmly reclaimed by the ocean
Highly acclaimed whispers of devotion
Gently echo across the harbour
Sheltered under a tree’s arbour
I listen to the rolling thunder
As I nestle calmly under
The bodhi tree
The thunder is like gentle percussion
The sand dunes the beaches cushions
Here I am free.
As the lightening acts as a mellow lamp
My hands are cupped in prayer like a clamp
Calm yet amongst the turmoil
My ego is then victim to foil
As I calmy walk from the beach to the soil
And feel the breathing earth
And begin to recognise what calm is truly worth.
Under the Bodhi Tree.
