Self-Help

I’m a bit anxious On this stage

My locks came from the blonde brown locks of hair Ever illusory

You all are waiting For me to say the thing The key

Mother A name I no longer use to describe you Just never fit

And now I speak to all of you What is your key?

Father A name I go by now Too gendered to be accurate But nonetheless A role I aspire too

More than anything I hope this helps you understand We can’t help each other Or ourselves

I don’t know I couldn’t help her

Here’s the key: You won’t find it for free You won’t find it with me And in time You’ll see
