The Sun in Human Form—a freeverse poem

The Sun in Human Form J.P.M

I saw the sun today.

For just a passing moment, yes, but the brightness from her smile matched with her yellow dress

Could be nothing less than one of a star.

The clouds weaved in and out of her blonde hair--leisurely-- creating a halo above her

And the planets danced around her figure as if she was the center of the universe, and she was.

I knew she was otherworldly when she passed me on the sidewalk.

The epitome of grace and warmth, laughter and joy, on a white bicycle;

I only wish I had stopped her to ask if she could share even a fraction of her light with me.
