He found the family of four lifeless he ran back to his house and called the police, the autopsy showed that they had been killed with blunt force trauma to the head. David was shocked that this would happen in the town that he grew up in, but nonetheless he went on his jog feeling confident that psychopath would not come where he lives after all he did live 5 miles from the city, and the killer was most likely trying to get out of the state.
David took his usual trail that was 7 miles away from his house, but something seemed off and very eerie the usual chirp of the birds was all but absent it was very quiet, too quiet all of a sudden a man about 6 foot tall stepped out of the shadows wearing a black hoodie and holding a crowbar covered in blood.
David shifted his feet left and ran into the woods as he was running for his life he tripped over a stump and down a hill, David had broken his ankle but was determined to get away, he had come across some giant trees to hide behind as he scanned the woods on full alert he looked down at his ankle the bone sticking out and bleeding very badly.
He took off his shirt and found a stick to make a tourniquet as he fastened it he scanned the area one more time there was no killer in sight but he knew that he was lurking about in the shadows of the trees creeping around in the early morning darkness, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The woods were dead silent as he began walking back but still on alert David started climbing the hill.
But all of a sudden he was hit in the back of the head, he fell back down the hill his head was bleeding badly the hooded man was standing right over him but then turned and walked, David laid there knowing these were his final moments he laid there thinking Of his wife Rachel and new baby girl Emily He was looking up at the treetops as everything slowly faded to black.
