Alone in the best company.

The Misconception of Alone

Most times, we like to be in good company or at the latest party so we don't end up alone.

What does being alone mean to most?

You're by yourself, lonely and always left out.

But what is it really like to be alone?

We gather our thoughts.

We can go on a bike ride, put in our music that makes us feel beyond powerful and just soak up what lies ahead.

Time to yourself is always needed.

You're now consumed by all your own thoughts of the day, maybe even things you had to hold in.

Why was everyone so judgemental? Why were there so many cats in that restaurant? Should I where something new tomorrow?

How long has it been since I've done something for me?

Sometimes the best times, ideas, and creations come from when you are alone.

The time where you get lost in that project you finally got time to work on.

I'm writing right now, and this is one of the most happiest and not alone I have felt in a while.

Because you're not alone.

When you finish that project, you can call up your best-friend and head over to their place.

After that solo bike ride to the beach, you can turn right back around and visit your parents new place.

Regardless of how you may feel, understanding what being alone is, and when you actually feel lonely or shut out is important.

Because in a lot of cases, we can feel the most alone when we're around people, even with the constant smiles and love.

Time to yourself isn't a time to feel lonely, it's alone time we deserve to refresh and renew our minds of our past.
