The words flow without regret, each a slicing blur of hurt. Keep the heart close, but keep the pride closer.

Pride

by ivoryannalise

The words spilled forth from the page.

Images spiraling beneath the broken gauge.

Mirrors splintered into jagged halves,

Leaving the reader with two distinct paths.

These trails bend and wind, but always collide,

In a place where the only emotion is pride.

@bernardtwindwil :D This poem relates to how my life right now with the end of high school looming over me. It's pure chaos till the end, then we only have pride to comfort our rash decisions. Thank you for commenting and reading! :D
