Dolls are such frail things. One small shove and they crack. What's to protect those porclean hearts from shattering to pieces? No amount of safety nets will stop this fall.

Porclean heart

by ivoryannalise

She sits high on a shelf.

And spends the days thinking over herself.

Her hair is a nice golden,

Her clothes are perfectly chosen.

But her exterior cannot hide,

What has been set aside.

Her porclean heart shatters,

Over the unstately matters.

And so, she is left broken.

With all her woes unspoken,

As she sits high on that ledge,

Hoping to fall off the edge.

I loved this one. From a strictly technical point of view, the words were wonderfully descriptive they melded with the graphics. The meter and rhyme were unsurpassed. The message was timely for your audience. The allegory of the porcelain doll was ingenious. I've seen it before but never as well done as yours. Great post!!!!
