A poem about my answer to Chi, (@chhr2103), about why I love the night. This explains more than I ever could, in the form of a poem. Hope you like it! :D

Written In The Dark

Written in the dark,

Written in the dark, Carved upon walls and hearts alike,

Written in the dark, Carved upon walls and hearts alike, Midnight emerges, minds are soothed,

Written in the dark, Carved upon walls and hearts alike, Midnight emerges, minds are soothed, As she takes flight, a released bird.

Upon the blessed eyelids,

Upon the blessed eyelids, She lays heaven's celestial shores,

Upon the blessed eyelids, She lays heaven's celestial shores, Lulls into tendrils of imagination,

Upon the blessed eyelids, She lays heaven's celestial shores, Lulls into tendrils of imagination, Whilst diminishing internal flames.

A canvas stained blank,

A canvas stained blank, Observing a lucent orb,

A canvas stained blank, Observing a lucent orb, Ascend to her elaborate throne,

A canvas stained blank, Observing a lucent orb, Ascend to her elaborate throne, Surrounded by devoted specks of paint.

Dams of tears overflow upon pillows,

Dams of tears overflow upon pillows, As Medusa relinquishes her claim,

Dams of tears overflow upon pillows, As Medusa relinquishes her claim, Yet the tightness of lungs dissipates,

Dams of tears overflow upon pillows, As Medusa relinquishes her claim, Yet the tightness of lungs dissipates, As Luna embraces her own.
