A poem about envying the clouds. Something quick I wrote a while back, watching the clouds in a sunrise from my bedroom window. Thanks for reading. :) <3

Pink Mist

I envy the clouds I see when I look up,

I envy the clouds I see when I look up, Their wisps and whispers are solely their own.

They are not bound by shackles,

They are not bound by shackles, Forced to be contained in a box.

They do not cower from lightning:

They do not cower from lightning: Formidable they gather,

They do not cower from lightning: Formidable they gather, Their passion witnessed through

They do not cower from lightning: Formidable they gather, Their passion witnessed through The spectrum they paint the sky.

Most of all,

Most of all, I envy

Most of all, I envy Their breathtaking ability

Most of all, I envy Their breathtaking ability To dissolve into tendrils,

Most of all, I envy Their breathtaking ability To dissolve into tendrils, Like they've descended to the heavens.

I wish I could touch the clouds,

I wish I could touch the clouds, Hoping that the pink mist they evince

I wish I could touch the clouds, Hoping that the pink mist they evince Will take me along,

I wish I could touch the clouds, Hoping that the pink mist they evince Will take me along, in the blink of an eye.

"Clouds are little pockets Of hope,

"Clouds are little pockets Of hope, That one day,

"Clouds are little pockets Of hope, That one day, All your bad thoughts Will paint the sky

"Clouds are little pockets Of hope, That one day, All your bad thoughts Will paint the sky And then melt away."

"Clouds are little pockets Of hope, That one day, All your bad thoughts Will paint the sky And then melt away." ~Iqra~
