There's someone in the house, I can hear their steps from my bedroom. My parents aren't home, my brother isn't home. I'm going to die.
My last breaths are going to be in my house, i can't die like this. The steps are getting closer, I hear them humming a song.
A lullaby my grandmother used to sing to me when I was younger during a rainstorm to calm me down.
The sound of clunky boots are getting closer I'm hiding underneath my bed with my hand over my mouth just in case I make any noise.
I see them, big black boots beginning to enter my room, their coming closer, hes, kneeling now. He reaches for my covers to expose me, those eyes, those piercing blue eyes, I know them.
As soon as he reaches for me, I gasp and I wake myself up.
I jolt up out of bed to check the time, 4 o'clock in the morning. I go down stairs to check if everyone's home, and pour myself a glass of milk.
I start my way back up the stairs, but there's a banging coming from the basement door. As soon as i get to the door, it stops.
Pressing my ear to it, there's a heavy breathing from the other side.
I run up the stairs to walk up my brother, "What the fuck man?!" he exclaims.
"There's was banging coming from the basement and heavy breathing"
"I don't care dude, it's literally four in the morning. Get out!" he throws a pillow at me.
I run down the stairs back to the basement and there's no banging, but the heavy breathing is even heavier, I start to open the door, and I hear "Stop!
" I whip my head around and my dads silhouette is standing in front of the doorway, hes dripping wet. He pushes me out of the way and goes down the stairs.
I look at my shoulder and it's covered in blood.
"What is going on!?" I yell down the stairs.
"Go back to bed!"
"No! Why are you covered in blood!"
"I said go back to bed, this is none of your business. Go back to bed before you're next!"
"Before I'm next?"
I hear him running up the stairs, as quickly as I can, I run out the front door into our driveway. As soon as I stop I feel this shock of pain running down my back, and my head is throbbing.
