Made this one about one year ago. Based on the quote 'and when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.'

The Caterpillar

by hopefulhorizon

Wriggling on small twigs,

Munching on green leaves

It feels like one of those sultry midsummer eves

When suddenly,

Raindrops start dripping off the blades of grass

The poor little fellow, not knowing this too shall pass

Big clouds in a dark sky

I do not want to die

I do not want to say goodbye

Thunder rumbles, lighting strikes

And just when the caterpillar thought the world was over

It became a butterfly

This is such a tremendous allegory. The wording was precise and the meter was spot on. I loved it. Geat poem!!!
