A plea to everyone from every background (race, religion, nationality, social class...) to find it in their hearts to accept each other. Love each other as you'd want to be loved. <br/><br/>"The facists of the future will call themselves anti-facists."<br/>-Winston Churchill

A Plea for Equality: I am just as good as you.

"Courage is what is takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what is takes to sit down and listen." -Winston Churchill

I believe in a lot of things.

But I'll also tell you what I DON'T believe in.

I don't believe in superiority.

You aren't any better than me.

You may be smarter, prettier or more popular.

But not better.

Your country may be the biggest and the richest.

But not the best.

Nothing states that you are better than me.

Opinions aren't facts, my friend.

Your country may have a top-notch economy and army.

But what makes you think that you are 'the best'?

Having a superiority complex makes you look obnoxious.

No one likes anyone who is obnoxious. You're not winning yourselves any favours.

We are all equal.

Isn't that what people are pushing for? Equality?

So why don't you make it so?

We all have flaws and differences, but why not embrace them?

Everyone has a dark history.

But don't use it against them. Everyone has a lesson to learn, and sometimes it has to be done the hard way.

My mother once said to me:

"If I can't be a good example, then let me be a terrible warning."

Take it from me.

My country is that terrible warning. We have made mistakes in the past, and are still making them.

But please, don't let history repeat itself.

Don't turn against each other. Don't persecute.

Because I believe in worth.

We are all worth it.

I believe in kindness.

I believe in acceptance.

But what I don't believe in...

...is that someone is better than me.

Because they are not.

And I am no better than them.

Those are my beliefs.

Please respect them, as I would respect yours.

Because that is true equality.

To understand, and to be understood.

To respect, and to be respected.

To love, and to be loved.

Those are my beliefs.

"If a person can be taught to hate they can be taught to love, for love comes naturally to the human heart than its opposite. " -Nelson Mandela.
