I dont write poetry but I learned earlier today that my grandfather died and this just came out and I decided I needed to share it to help myself grieve

Bumpa

I scream for help.

Begging, pleading,

Yet in my time of most need,

I hear but nothing.

Nothing consoling my broken heart.

Nothing replacing the irreplaceable.

My rock, my hero, myself.

A cocktail of 1 part strength and 2 parts music,

Shared among two souls of which one has been released.

From the human shell I plead and bargain,

my thoughts have never been so loud.

Oh, God, why cant you help me?

Is our suffering a game?

I beg of you, if you cannot spare a life,

watch over what you have taken from me.
