Getaway Car

I am a porcelain dancer trapped in a broken music box. I am this moment - here and now. I am the flower who never bloomed with the spring. I am the difference between a story and an equation. I am heaven-sent but introducing you to the devil. I am a shared sandwich in a backyard tree house. I am yours and you are mine.

I am the sand beneath fingers searching for gold. I am a hat sinking low over my own eyes. I am only a child but forced to stop dreaming. I am trying to cut down a tree, but my saw lacks a chain. I am offered a ring only to discover that it had been stolen. I am running away.

I am the delinquent escaping in a getaway car driving until I can no longer see the danger.
