As you travel deeper, the patches of sunlight on the ground grow increasingly sparse until all you can see are dappled spots of sunlight gleaming through the canopy of leaves above. The temperature cools and your environment grows darker.
The terrain grows rockier as you continue along the trail, giant boulders and walls of rock line your path. You notice vines of ivy hanging down like a delicate curtain along a rocky side of the path.
You are drawn to the long flowing leafy vines, straying from the trail and walking toward them. You gently open up the curtain of vines, revealing a small cave on the other side. You can see a glowing light emanating from within the cave, revealing that it lets back out on the other side. You enter the cave, the vines of ivy falling back down to once again form the curtain, hiding you away from the world.
The cave smells damp and earthy. Inside it is quiet, silencing the symphony of insects outside. You can feel cool, soft dirt underneath your feet. You stop a moment to curl your toes in the dirt, feeling the soft powdery sensation. You continue through the cave. It is rather small in size, but large enough to allow you to stand up straight. You carefully navigate the cave, bracing yourself on the rocky walls and following the light at the end.
You come to the exit of the cave. Your short journey through was peaceful and meditative. You get the feeling that you’re emerging into a whole new secret world. On the other side, there is a small clearing surrounded by towering trees. A spongey, light-green moss speckled with little white flowers covers much of the ground within the clearing.
Golden sunlight remains filtered through the trees. You once again hear the singing of distant insects, this time accompanied by the melodic chirping of small birds. You decide to lie down on the bed of moss, it feels fuzzy and tickles your skin as you melt into the forest floor. You close your eyes, listening to the music of the forest.
Your senses are filled with the harmonious and blissful power of the forest. Your body is consumed by the moss and the soft earth underneath you. Your spirit drifts freely from your body, joining the the many spirits in which the forest is alive with. You are one with the moss, the mushrooms, the vines, the flowers, the trees, the rocks, and the creatures of the wood. You are free.
