A poem about a girl and her reflection.
(But which one is the reflection here? )

The girl in the mirror

by glennhenley

When I look in the mirror, what do I see? The girl in the mirror looking back at me

My reflection, you say? Don't dismiss her that way

She has her separate personality Far far more beautiful than me

Her appearance is as different from mine as chalk from cheese Her mouth quirks in that lovely smile I can never achieve

When she sighs bells sound in my head She will be living when I am dead

I wonder how she came to be This perfect version of drab old me

Being stuck in the mirror is not fun I'm glad I'm not the only one

When she looks in the mirror I see the distaste and loss That only a reflection like me can cause.

It's good, and it even gives off a sort-of creepy-ish vibe towards the end. Pretty good how this girl ended up looking at her better-self in the mirror, because the general populace seems to hate what they find there.
