She lives in a world devoid of colour, just like her. She is one of many who try to hide their true emptiness.

Colourless

by glennhenley

Nails that are pink as the roses on their stems A face that bears distaste like a mask

Worn to hide one from the cruel world Blend in, do as they do, hurt no more

Lips a scarlet red, like blood upon a pale spirit Rouge and black alternate, like drawing upon colour to hide empty space

Soulless, sunken eyes for a long-forgotten ghost.
