Mo(u)rning

by ghostful

I loved you most in the mornings

When there was no one around

And there was not a sound

But your breath on my pillow case

Rose scented hair across your face

I want to know if you still twitch with dreams

Like you used to

When you laid next to me

Does the light pace your windowsill

While you lie still

Does your lips murmur promises

Like they used to on the nights

We felt lost

Scared of nightmares

We were the dreamers

The feelers

The mover and shakers

Of pillow talk

And midnight walks

My fingers across your skin

Does light fill your baby blue eyes

When they open in the mornings

And no longer see mine

I miss you most in the mornings

When I am reminded

That you are no longer mine

This was kinda painful but beautiful at the same time. It's written well. Try my "Unsuitable" and "What was mine", maybe you might relate to it . :)

Oh my goodness, this was so melodramatic that I expected a rescue and it never came. This was written and worded in a lugubrious tone. I have nothing but praise for the literary effort here. Good job!!
