The beach touches all the senses.
The beautiful sound of waves crashing in the distance and the gulls calling overhead
The hypnotic motion of the ebb and flow over the sandy shores
The smell of the fresh salt air wafting gently in a breeze
and the taste it holds when inhaled and allowed to touch the tongue
The feel of the sand and water gliding lightly through the toes
Each element on its own is said to be calming to the soul
And all of them combined could be considered the ultimate in tranquility
But I wouldn't know. I've never been.
Yet the waters are always calling.
