i'm not afraid of you any more
She speaks too the monster under the bed
"You may be frienting but your not the scariest thing in my life
She tells the beast,
The girl gasps and her bruised body starts shaking in fear,
Jumping off the bed as the banging gets closer
She shouts at the beast as she craws under the bed,
Her bedroom door slams open, despite being locked
oh? Playing hide and seek now are we?"
The drunken man with a leather belt in his hand laughs,
Pulling the girl out with the other
As kids we think that the monsters hide in the dark and under our bed,
As we get older we realize,
The real monsters have been right beside us all along...
