The children had just wrapped the last of their radio shows for the holiday season. They would be back to work after the new year. It was a daunting schedule to keep track of sometimes but the children seemed to enjoy it.
Bessie already felt less intellectual than most of her children. Franny and Zooey weren't even in double digits. It was all Seymour and Buddy's influence. Bessie got on her oldest sons once. Let them be kids she had argued.
