The most harmful thoughts are our own, we break ourselves down harder than anyone else can... a voice too tempting to ignore

Not So Fun-Fair

I am hypnotised by the convincing choreography performed by starved logic.

Each thought rides on horseback circling like vultures ready to feast,

Each thought rides on horseback circling like vultures ready to feast, to pick apart this carcass of certainty that died with dizziness.

The choir of squarks ring songs of enticement, I soon fall victim to spinning eyes and gentle hums,

The choir of squarks ring songs of enticement, I soon fall victim to spinning eyes and gentle hums, ignorant to the aposematism, lights dance and I blink with them, a waltz I did not lead.

Ferris-wheel heights of unfair claims left me twirling in vertigo.

Ferris-wheel heights of unfair claims left me twirling in vertigo. Like a goldfish labelled a prize, I am left to suffocate in my own pollution.

The not so fun fair has came to mind, leaving fun house mirrors shattered in once hopeful eyes
