A poem I wrote about my crush.

My friends say you're no good

But your mystery delights me.

The smell of cigarettes and trouble

makes me want to see.

I want to see what makes you laugh

and I want to see what makes you cry.

I want to see what makes you tick

what makes you want to die.

I want to grow old here with you

although you know me not.

And I just want you to know

that I'll love you no matter what.

As the sky grows darker

and eventually turns to grey.

As we walk down the street

on a summer's day.

When you look at me I think

of how beautiful you are.

Though of course, though of course

I admire you from afar.

"No, no, no, she'll never notice you."

My friends try to tell me

But I already knew

Crushes are meant to burn and die

so that your heart can jump

and your soul can fly.

But not everything works out,

yet in the end,

I would be so so delighted if you'd call me a friend.
