A second life that didn’t feel like my own...

Revival

She wakes to the sound

Of breathing that isn't her own.

Though her eyes are open,

Though her eyes are open, No one else is around,

Leaving the unfamiliar breaths unexplained.

Her eyes lingered on the machine beside her,

Causing the memory of the accident

Causing the memory of the accident flashed in front of her.

Her question was answered.

The machine that made her breathe again.

The machine that made her breathe again. Yesterday's memories that felt like history,

The machine that made her breathe again. Yesterday's memories that felt like history, The sound of breathing that woke her,

They were all undoubtedly her own,

Even her body that’s so different from before.
