Write about dance? Oh, there is so much I can write about dance.

Writing about Dance

by davorite

On any given day

you might find me dancing in the wrong time.

Music would be playing,

but sometimes I don't hear it.

And in a dancer's world,

that is a problem.

Missing one simple beat

can lead to disastrous results.

It sounds simple—just be in the right place

at the right time.

And in order to do that,

you must find your center in your dance.

After all, the Earth spins on one axis

and gravity is a constant downwards force.

Only here in your element does the world revolve around you

and not around money or fame.

And when the world revolves around you,

things tend to fly your way.

It's gravity's work.

Wonderful!! The allegory of the dance as a centering tool. All major philosophical movements have centering as a principal concept. This was beautifully written. I was doing pirouettes in my mind as I read. Great job!!
